Motor Oil and Filter Recycling

• Call centers for hours of operation, quantity limits, and whether filters are accepted.

• $0.04 cents per quart reimbursement available.

• Place oil in five gallon (or smaller) containers which have tight seals and are pourable. Usually up to 20 gallons per day, per resident, are accepted.

• Most locations accept filters -- drain and place in a plastic bag.

• It is illegal to leave oil after business hours.

• It is against the law to put used oil in the trash, on the ground, or in the storm drain system.

• Do not contaminate oil by mixing with any other automotive or household products -- it will not be accepted.
