Traffic Pattern Change on Avenida De Los Arboles

In November 2011, the stop signs at Arboles/Calle Bouganvilla were removed and the road was restriped to one lane in each direction, with a two-way center turn lane. The new striping pattern will also include a bicycle lane in each direction and parking lanes near the curb.

The new striping will thermoplastic, a more advanced type of striping that last longer and appears more vibrant than traditional paint. Thermoplastic striping improves public safety by retaining its reflective capability on the roadway, thus allowing drivers to more easily see it. All overlays scheduled for 2012 will use thermoplastic striping.
